An app is a bigger investment than a website. The question is not “should we have one?” but “what job will it do?”
Many businesses ask for an app when what they really need is a fast, clear website. Others struggle on with chat and spreadsheets long after an app would have paid for itself.
Three signs you need an app
- You repeat the same process all day — taking orders, checking files, confirming payments.
- Customers need to log in — to track orders, save designs or re-order.
- One person is the bottleneck — if the admin is away, everything stops.
Start with a web app
A web app runs in the browser on any phone or laptop, with no app-store approval. It is usually the fastest, most affordable way to test the idea — and it can become a mobile app later.
Build the smallest version that does the job well. Then listen and grow it.
That is exactly the approach behind the Layering Printing System currently in progress at the studio.
